March 2013 - Supergold Centerfold was High Point overall Halter mare at the SOQHA Winter Circuit.  She was also Open and Amateur Circuit Champion 3 YO mare.  She earned 4 open grands, 2 open reserves, 4 amateur grands and 2 amateur reserve grands.  Embraced was circuit champion open and amateur yearling mare and earned 1 open reserve and 1 amateur reserve championship.

April 2013- It is with great sadness that we announce the loss of our foundation broodmare, Shesa Sequel on April 8th.  She will be greatly missed.

Sand Ridge Quarter Horses was founded in 1995 by Paula and Jamie Buehrer. We are located just northeast of Wauseon and 30 miles due west of Toledo in the heart of Ohio farm country. The farm started as slightly less than 6 acres and is currently almost 12 acres. It is situated on a glacier sand ridge, thus the name.

We maintain a few high quality AQHA broodmares that are selectively bred to leading stallions with the goal of producing high quality, confomationally outstanding, athletic individuals. We also maintain a small string of show and sale horses. We focus on showing regional and national AQHA shows and raising & showing futurity babies. Our homebred and raised horses have several accomplishments to their names.  Please check out the HORSES page for more information on our accomplishments.

We also maintain a few standardbred pacing mares from the best lines in the harness horse industry who are bred to enhance that breeding and produce a high quality foal for a future in racing.
